仕事を終わらせてギリギリ駆け込むような形で、新宿liquid roomに到着。心待ちにしていたthe band apartのアルバム「K. AND HIS BIKE」発売記念ライブに行ってきました。出たバンドすべてが素晴らしく、とにかく満足。

キラーチューンに、「なんとなく」ケニア出身のマラソン選手の名を付け、それがそのままミニアルバムのタイトル曲になっているという、なんとも気負わない人たちですが、同世代かぁ…と思わずため息が出てしまう様な、日本でもっとも好きなバンドの1つ。そしてライブは音源以上に格好良い。

JazzやBossaなどを「思いつき」で混ぜ合わせ、キャッチーなメロディーをのせたサウンド。普段この類の音楽を聴かない方も気に入ってもらえるんじゃないでしょうか。（耳の肥えた友人にはバッサリと切り捨てられましたが…）
